If you’re unsure about your sexual orientation, let us be the ones to tell you that you certainly aren’t alone. That doesn’t even include people who aren’t sure or publicly out about how their identities! The true number of LGBTQ+ American adults today could be millions more. Therefore, more than 20 million adults self-identified as LGBTQ+ in the US as of 2022. Did you know that as of February 2022, Gallup found that 7.1 percent of US adults openly identity as LGBTQ+? (That's lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, and other non-straight identities.) That’s a pretty staggering statistic, given that just 10 years earlier, only 3.5 percent of respondents identified themselves as LGBT.
